How can exercise PREVENT DIABETES?

Keeping active is great for managing prediabetes, and also can PREVENT you from getting diabetes by keeping your blood glucose levels low, and improving insulin sensitivity .

What is insulin?

Insulin is a hormone and is produced in the pancreas. It regulates the metabolism CARBS, FATS, and PROTEINS, by helping absorb glucose from the blood. It helps cells in the body absorb the glucose. When an individual is diagnosed with diabetes it means that the body is no longer properly producing insulin which doesn’t help keep glucose levels at bay. When blood sugar levels are high, it signals to your pancreas to release INSULIN. This is the production that is affected and stops working effectively.
