Being a mother of two can be manic. When I had my second child I wondered how the hell I would manage school runs for my eldest, and get out the door on time! My eldest , my son, was diagnosed with ADHD 2 years ago , but this diagnosis has helped us get the help we needed as a family and make mornings more organised and punctual . We have a morning list check list for him and once all his list is completed he then gets ‘his time’ before we head out the door to school. This works perfectly and really helps get things done. My second child, my daughter, who has just turned 3 ( but more like 3 going on 13) is very independent, and likes to give catwalk shows in the mornings of various layers of clothes she enjoys pulling from her wardrobe. This seems to be the thing that can slow us down in the mornings, aswell as her having to finish her ‘cooking’ for her teddies ( friends) . It is in no DOUBT, it’s my early morning coffees that get me through the first phase of the morning, sometimes two. I then proceed to write my to do list for the day, and get a 30 minute resistance training session in before the above breaks loose .
